How to sync a rolling code remote

A rolling code remote, is a device that is used to open and close garage doors, gates, and other types of automatic openers. It uses a rolling code technology that changes the code each time the button is pressed, providing an extra layer of security to prevent unauthorized access. If you have a rolling code clicker that is not working properly, it may need to be resynchronized with the automatic opener. Here's how to do it:

  1. Locate the learn button on your automatic opener. This is usually a small button that is located near the motor unit or on the back of the opener's control panel.

  2. Press and release the learn button. The opener's indicator light should flash or stay lit to indicate that it is in learn mode.

  3. Press and hold the button on the rolling code clicker that you want to sync. The indicator light on the opener should flash or stay lit to indicate that it has learned the code.

  4. Repeat the process for any additional rolling code clickers that you want to sync.

  5. Once you have synced all of the clickers, press and release the learn button on the automatic opener again to exit learn mode. The indicator light should turn off.

If the indicator light on the automatic opener does not flash or stay lit, or if the clicker does not function properly after syncing, there may be a problem with the opener or the clicker. In this case, it is recommended to consult the manufacturer's manual or seek the assistance of a professional gate contractor.

By following these steps, you should be able to easily sync your rolling code clicker with your automatic opener. This will ensure that your garage door, gate, or other automatic opener functions smoothly and securely.
